Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you. Thinking of you this holiday season!” -T.A. Barron
We have officially entered the holiday season ~ I love to include Thanksgiving as the kickoff! I love to think about how to set the stage for the season. I imagine how to make our family, food, and all of our festivities cozy. I plan how to provide a fun and inspiring atmosphere. With my menu’s planned, and a decorating theme in place, I am off! This year I am committed to simplicity, nature and tradition ~all with a twist of course!
Delicious and Chewy Ginger-Molasses Cookies ~ pop over to my facebook page for this recipe, and while you are there, will you like us? These cookies are chewy in the center with a professional bakery look and taste too. We had our daughter Julia’s first homemade pies and these delicious cookies for our Thanksgiving dessert. I had to make another batch today because we have guests for the weekend. They do not last long ~ beware!
~ I just ATE my WILLPOWER ~
We had our first snowstorm of the season! It was gorgeous and magical. It was also wet and heavy! After a couple of days of very droopy branches, Jeff decided it was time to get some of that heavy snow off the stressed branches.
In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.
